The future is now for the Ute softball program as it enjoys its eighth season in Dumke Family Softball Stadium.
The field and the surrounding permanent buildings at 102 S. Wasatch Drive opened during the 2013 season.
The sparklinlg new facility provides an excellent environment for student-athletes, coaches and fans. Night games are now a reality, as the stadium is illuminated by six banks of permanent lights.
The stadium features an indoor batting area for the Utes, as well as outdoor batting and pitching cages for both teams. Dugouts are equipped with restrooms and an athletic training room is also located on the premises.The dimensions of the playing field are 235' to center field and 225' down the right and left field line, with a grass berm behind the outfield fence.
The capacity at Dumke Family Softball Stadium is 1,410, with 910 permanent bleacher seats (520 armchair seats) covered by a canopy. Temporary bleacher seating in the left field berm for 500 also will be an option and enable Utah to bid to host NCAA Tournaments.
The site also includes a permanent building housing concessions and restrooms.
